'Yesterday I saw a piece of quite remarkable theatre which
  properly outstripped my stratospheric expectations...'

'Their work has inadvertently  taught people like me, we
should not assume that  we  know ourselves, or that we are
comfortable. Only by trying new things and rocking
the boat can we be sure that we are content in our own skin.'

Yorkshire based ‘Testing the Razor’ is a project based performance company specialising in contemporary dance and creative movement. Established in 2010 by Paul Wilkinson and Dani Ferreira, the company has quickly become known for its audience development projects and its extensive work within education and the community.

Drawing upon elements of performance art, popular culture, comedy and current affairs, Testing the Razor create quirky, inclusive performance work across the North of England. Working in partnership with local schools, community groups, arts organisations and small businesses, Paul and Dani continue to develop their creative vocabulary, delivering quality performances and education programmes for all ages and abilities.

Our mission is simple: to find the most effective way to communicate
using a combination of art forms, especially, but not explicitly, dance.
